Most, if not all of the wealthiest people in the world can be considered to be some form of entreprenuer. And they almost
always start small.
Paul Harris, one of South Africa's most successful Entrepreneurs (one of the founders of the FirstRand group mentioned his
“Ten Observations of Successful Entrepreneurs” in a talk. Here they are:
- Entrepreneurs are intrigued and obsessed with a business idea or concept but are not obsessed with money.
- Good entrepreneurs know everything about something and something about everything.
- Follow Sound business Practices from the Beginning.
- Think Big but be prepared to Start Small.
- Build your Business not your Ego.
- Trust Others – Empower People.
- Use Diversity as a Competitive Advantage.
- Manage your Values and Corporate Culture.
- Your Reputation is Your Most Important Asset.
- Hard Work!
This is probably the best advice you can get as a new entreprenuer starting your own business. And you know that it
works because it's coming from someone is an extremely successful entreprenuer himself.
If you have a great idea and you're ready to start your own business you may be considering starting a company. Now,
usually you have to fill out some forms, and pay in a registration fee and wait for the registrar to issue you a
certificate before you start, but an easier way may be to simply buy a shelf company or CC (close corporation)
from the Shelf Company Warehouse. So far, this is the cheapest and
easiest shelf company site we have found. It makes registration a lot easier and faster.
